Title: Rev. Dr. Ulrich Leupold: Inspiring Lives of Leadership and Purpose
Location: Keffer Chapel, Waterloo Lutheran Seminary
Description: As an administrator, musician and theologian, Rev. Dr. Ulrich Leupold had a major impact on the university and seminary campus from 1945 – 1970. Dr. Paul Helmer, musicologist from McGill, will speak to Leupold’s work and contribution to society, while the choir will sing arrangements and compositions of Dr. Leupold. Rev. William Huras, retired bishop of the Eastern Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Chruch in Canada, will also give a tribute to Leupold’s ministry. The lecture-recital-tribute will be followed by a celebratory reception.

Confirmed speakers include: Dr. Paul Helmer, Rev. William D. Huras, WLU Chapel Choir and WLU Alumni Choir under conductor Elvera Froese.
